Model of the United Nations

We will start a debate exercise in class about Globalization. The objective is to create a variant of one of the popular WorldMUN simulations. Worldmun is a simulation of the assemblies of the United Nations made by college students. The simulation was first organized by Harvard University in the 1980s and has become an annual tradition, involving universities from all over the World. The objective of the exercise is to debate about current issues of the United Nations. Each team represents a country in the world and needs to familiarize themselves with the politics, economics and social situation of their country. Since Worldmun originated, plenty of universities around the world created local varieties of the Model. I wanted to have a mini-simulation in class in order to debate about the pros and cons of Globalization. Please read the presentation above, and answer the questions about UN. We will have a debate in class next week combining the climate change exercise and the questions about globalization.
